S/P Labral Repair

Labral Repair Protocol

  • 0-3 weeks may forward flex and abduct shoulder to 45 degrees, external rotation to neutral
  • 3-6 weeks may forward flex and abduct shoulder to 90 degrees       
  • 0-3 weeks may forward flex and abduct shoulder to 90 degrees, external rotation to neutral
  • Weeks 3-6 may externally rotate to 30 degrees. Isometrics, wrist, elbow ROM may begin immediately. Week 4 may begin strengthening exercises within restricted arc of motion stated above. From week 6 onward, may progress ROM actively as tolerated with NO passive stretching. Modalities prn. Instruct on HEP.
